I want to know the recent development in automotive market, 
so I make a quick survey around the web and 
found the following information:
1st :Volkswagen Group

2nd: Toyota Group

3rd: General Motors

This is a quick information mining and processing thus feedback is highly appreciated. I will post the update on this soon

You can see why Volkswagen is able to top the chart since it covers cars, trucks and motorbikes;
as well as the notable luxury cars market (Bugatti, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche).

Toyota is well known for its brilliant manufacturing philosophy (TPS, TPM), thus contributing to its profitable and quality products.

While GM approach seems to be targeting high volume sales.

You can use this information to identify to best car to suit your budget and lifestyle based on the following criteria:

1.After sales services-Dedicated service centre will ensure your car get the attention its needed.All-in-one service centre may resulted in poor service as the technician must have broad range of knowledge on the systems and problems.

2.Cost of spare parts-Usually car manufacturer use similar components across different model/platform thus you can save maintenance cost.Taxi drivers can give you a quick information.

3.Depreciation-If you want to sell your car after several years, you have to identify the company popularity and demand in the market by reviewing 2nd hand car websites.

iOS 7

I feel bad since my last rant about iOS7. Just backed-up mine and missus' iPhone so I feel tempted to update to iOS 7.

Just finished mine, no fiddling needed since it is still the same thing-all email accounts are there and settings gladly undisturbed.

So it is not a bad thing this iOS stuff. I just went straight to the setting to plug one of the security holes.
 

Verdict, so far so good. Don’t feel like I miss iOS 6…

My phone has had no problem during the update but unfortunately my missus’ failed the update. 

Luckily, I’ve backed-up the phone thus I am able to restore it.

Not too bad as I am writing this blog while waiting for the phones to be updated (plus restore for my missus’).

Too fast and too furious?

It does not concern car but technology and human in general.  The booming smartphones (…and perhaps tablet) and virtual war between android and iOS have trapped consumers. It seems that we just need these two in our smartphones (with the downing of Blackberry and Nokia).

 

Windows? Why so greedy, you have made profit from desktop and laptop applications would you not? Windows 8 is a failure with a typical ‘try to be something that you are not’.

It used to be as simple as PC vs. mobile phone no social media and high speed data transmission.  Mobile phone was a luxury and Nokia has made it accessible to almost everyone.

But, modern days are tough. Nothing could satisfy the greed of humanity.

iOS 6 is never good enough that we would want iOS 7? Have everybody got no other things to do than to learn new way of reinventing the wheels? Well don’t get me wrong, you are encouraged to learn and improve yourself and the world but come on…

 

Can’t you see that when you are too dependent to a particular type of technology it will govern your live forever? Gadgetry should be just a tool to help human to perform its daily task efficiently but it shall not be a necessity, i.e. you can still live without it.

It used to be automobiles but now mobile phone (or shall I call it smartphone)? Call it what you want, a smartphone is just a PC/Laptop plus mobile phone. The fact that the device is smarter than us is appalling. I mean, if a smartphone makes you feel stupid why would you want to be treated that way for the rest of your life. Be liberated once in a while to appreciate the raw of life. Remember the blackout?

Life is too short; there are a lot of things worth doing rather than spending time fiddling with your ‘smartphone’ to learn its new features. I mean if it so smart why can’t it learn from us and adapted to our personal style and preference rather than we need to tell it everything we want and we are the one who need to spend more time learning about. 

Everything should be in moderation. Don’t forget the reason why you are here in the first place.
